If you want to see more

Famous for his vineyards, the douro valley is the only place in the world where Port wine is produce.

The landscape is stunning and it's only one hour driving south of Mylène's village.

At the Douro valley, you will be able to visit famous or independent wine houses, hundreds of them are situated all along the river. There are also a lot of Bed & Breakfast for you to stay that can be booked on booking or Hotels.com.

We think the landscape is a lot more beautiful and lest crowded in the east of the Douro Valley, so not close from Porto.

We advice you you drive along the river from Pinhao (The closest Douro Valley village from Mylène's Region) to Porto,

or from Porto to Pinhao.

In Pinhao, little boat cruises can be booked, they are guided and take usually 2hours, they also offer you a glass of Port to enjoy while you look at the landscape.

Close from the Douro Valley, while you are driving you can get out of the road to go to Lamego and its famous church : Santuário de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios
